The town of Interlaken, Switzerland is a well-known tourist destination in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps. The official language of Interlaken is German, but the main spoken language is Bernese German. This small town of about 23,300 inhabitants welcome visitors year-round for several reasons including sports.

The town hosts exhilarating activities such as paragliding, white-water rafting, skydiving, canyoning, hang gliding, skiing, hiking, and more. One of the town's most notable events is the Jungfrau Marathon which is held each September.
